Grape Ice on Pablo's Silver rung
Ask for a grape Pablo at a medium number and this is the can that comes across the counter. Silver Edition is the second of Pablo's five lines, one step above the 6mg Edition, and it carries 10.15mg a pouch. Pop one in and the grape lands first, sweet and dark, the purple kind rather than the green. A moment later the Ice part arrives, a light fresh mint twinge sitting behind the fruit and cooling the edges. The grape stays in charge throughout, and the mint keeps it bright rather than syrupy. That balance holds through the whole load with no drift. The finish is sweet with a fresh lift, a bit like blackcurrant and grape squash poured over a glass of ice on a warm afternoon. Fair play to it.
